Man Up for the 3-hour walk around Manly

Tuesday I decided to use my ferry boat pass and headed over to Manly.  I had heard great things about the enclave across the harbor.  They claim good surfing and snorkeling.  I brought my snorkel and mask ad was pleasantly surprised that the harbor was calm so no sloshing side to side or need for the loo or turning any shade of green from motion sickness.  It was a nice 30 minute ferry ride to yet another direction away from the city of Sidney. It was a partly cloudy day so I figured a good day for another wlk before the sun came back full strength and sapped my energy and gave me 3rd degree burns on the back of my head.  Today I add a beach towel, apple, grapes, can of tuna and cracker as I will be across the harbor all day.  One of the best parts of leaving the CBD Central busisness district is the view of the city from afar.  The departure/return by ferry on the harbor allow for some great photos that a normal walking tour or Asisan bus tour definately would miss.

Manly Wharf...Car in motion stays in motion, interesting photo capture.

Manly Beach, stretch of beautiful beach, not alot of beach but stretches a good ways.  Beach Volley Ball nets about 12 olympic size, surfing schools, Young Lifesavers and lifeguard training on kyaks is a great afternoon of people watching.

Did I mention Lifeguard training...There was even the wooden 6 man row boat where the guys pulled their speedo's up their butt crack so that when rowing they got better traction....and splinters..Ouch.

Mother Nature takes the best photo in the heavens open category.

I plan to return later this week when the sun is out as the snorkeling was awesome.  As it was overcast the brilliance was muted.  I will update next later in the week.
Cheers
