I decided today that i will head to bed early...Sunday night so I might rise with the roosters and go to the park to check out the morning additiona od Tai Chi. I hear that Lumphini Park opens the gates at 4:00am so that the hard core practitioners could get an early start before sunrise; which begins the hectic commotion of the day. Most of the vendors (food) are up early to get the rice steamed for the early morning commuters.
I did mention that rice/noodles/soup and sometimes fish are a 3 meal a day plan here in Bangkok. It is a little weird to see a plate of rice and some times fried eggs or a soup of chicken stock and greens first thing in the morning. I so miss my scambled eggs, hashbrowns, crisp bacon, and bicuits and gravy. Good coffee and orange juice. Don't get me wrong that food is to die for but the eggs tend to be runnier than I'm used to so I have learned to order my scrambled eggs firm...can you really mess up scrambled eggs. The potatoes are delicious but the are fried, sometimes boiled in more of a dinner cube presentation so the hashing of the browns is your responsibility. The bacon is well kind of taken from the package....I hope; and just kind of laid on the plate. Has noone over here heard of frying your bacon. It is what I would call seared althoug not being a cook I barely know what seared means other than the bacon may have accidently slipped from the Chef's hands while he was plating the meal to have it accidently land on the fryer for just a quick second prior to being retrieved; I have learned to ask for my bacon crispy...again can you really mess up crispy bacon...well not yet.
I seem to be rambling as i a off to bed shortly; however I will leave you with a few more of my random wanderings around Bangkok, Thailand...Enjoy.

| Bangkok, Thailand at night...can you tell who has the right of way....Nobody here can either. |
| Me getting on the BTS Skytrain. |
| Took me by surpeise when i realized that it cost money to use the restroom at the mall. 2 Baht = approx US$0.07. Can you imagine coming up with 7 cents when you had to use the restroom. Fortunately the nice lady manning the booth gladly makes change. Oh Brother...but the facility is nicely stocked for your convenience. |

| D R A M A Q U E E N ! |
| A Beautiful Day in Bangkok, Thailand...air quality today is thick. |
| Car window shot of the diversity of architectural details in the city of Bangkok, Thailand. |
| Drink selections, I only recognized a few and this was just one of 3 cases for your beverage consumption...Beer, Cola's and Juices. |
| Would you even entertain entering a restaurant named that at home....Really?...Not Mac has his hands together in the sign of greeting in Thai. |
| Three headed eleghant anyone? Just afun freeway distraction for the tourist in the back seat wondering how the driver is keeping the car on the road with so many points of interest to take note of. |
| I was paying my respects...sort of...and clowning for the photo at one of the many Bangkok, Thailand Temples. |
| I liked the signage for the Happy Monk...I did not see an appropriate sign for Monk not having a good day. Maybe that is best. I learned today that noone may stand taller than the King except for the Monks as they are deemed of higher stature via their religeous affiliation being closer to God than the King's. I asked my very tall friend, Chazreale, from Malaysia (He said you can call me Chaz, Re, Al, Le or any combination of his real name) if he had to kneel in the Kings presence so as not to stand taller.....He answered very quickly that he would let me know next time he is in the presence of the King. My humor here is lost in translation. |

| Swarm of school kids paying thier respects at the temple, making their offering. You get to make a wish once you pay your Bht $20.00 = US$0.66. I bet he wished for good grades. I should have gone to temple more when I was young....it is never too late...I wished for safe travels...so far so good!! Thanks Buddha! |
| Artist rendering of the Monk...Quite the little ensemble interpretation. I may go nto Monkdom...is that a word? Just for the flashy little outfit...if ohly this desig were closer to the reality...the actual garb seems to be just a bedsheet wrapped anound you and thrown owver your shoulder...very Toga party circa late 70's. Oooooops...showing my age. |
| Negotiate I am told by my Hosts....I wanted a fan to keep the flies, smells and heat at bay all for a whopping Bht$20 or 66 cents. It worked like a...fan....fanbulouly |
| Another 3 headed elephant statuary. |
| Me and my Astological sign statuary; "the Rat". The Chinese astrology goes by the year of one's birth, not the 12 calendar months that I am accustomed. I guess 1960 was not the best year for births. There i go again with the age disclosre...Well what can i say for a 50+'er not bad. |
